When you come to visit us and browse our shelves and deli counters, you won’t be surprised to find hard-to-find products and imported delicacies from all around the world. After all, it’s in our name – International Delicatessen Foods. We regularly source high-quality products imported from all across Europe and beyond and we invite you to take a tour around the world with your taste buds!
From places like Poland, Belorussia and the Far East, you’ll find many imported canned foods like delicious marinated tomatoes, cucumbers and mushrooms, pickles, sauerkraut, canned fish and fish roe. You’ll also find a selection of jams and preserves made with berries and fruits of all kinds, from apricot to gooseberry.
Buckwheat, barley and other grains are imported from Ukraine and Russia to name just a few, while our deli meat and cheese counters are international hotspots: German sausage, cheeses from the Netherlands and beyond, Ukrainian salo, Hungarian salami and many more.
If you’re feeling adventurous or are eager for a taste of home, we carry a variety of imported drinks and juices not common in North America, like kvass – a beverage traditional to slavic and baltic countries that’s made by fermenting bread. Or take home a bottle of birch juice (yes, from the tree!) which is a bright, semi-sweet drink enjoyed by many in Russia.
To satisfy a sweet tooth, you can mix and match european chocolates in our bulk candy aisle, where you’ll also find imported cookies, waffles, zefir (Russian marshmallow) and other tasty treats. Make sure to grab some bagged or loose-leaf tea to complete the international experience!
